Since Java 26.1, librarian trades follow a sequence set by your world seed. Enter your seed and observed lectern rerolls to estimate when the book you want may appear. Use Find one book for a single enchantment, or Plan a whole hall to pick every book you want and get a full list of rerolls, villagers and emeralds. This tool is experimental: check the next trade before relying on the result.

How to use the Villager Trade Predictor

  1. Type /seed in game and copy your world seed.
  2. Put down a lectern next to a novice librarian, note both trades, then break the lectern. Do this 4 or more times.
  3. Enter the trades in order. For one book, pick it and press Predict. For a hall, open Plan a whole hall.
  4. In Plan a whole hall, tap the books you want, tick any you already have, set a price limit and press Plan my hall.
  5. Check the next reroll matches before you rely on the rest.

FAQ

Does it work on every version?

Only Java 26.1 and newer, with Trade Rebalance turned off. Older versions used random trades that can't be predicted from the seed.

Why did the count change?

Other librarian trade generation may advance the shared sequence. If trades have been generated elsewhere, record new observations before relying on a prediction.

Does it work on servers?

Yes, if you know the world seed and the server runs vanilla villager trading.

What does Plan a whole hall do?

You pick the books you want, or pick whole pieces of gear like netherite boots and it adds every enchant they can take, with a choice between enchants that cannot go together. Choose a price limit or find the cheapest, and tick cured villager if yours was cured. It lists the rerolls to stop on, how many villagers to trade with, and roughly what it will cost. If two wanted books show up on the same reroll, one villager covers both.
