Privacy policy
What the site collects, why, and how to get it deleted. In plain English.
The short version
nocware.tv is a free Minecraft tools site run by one person, nocware, based in the UK. I'm responsible for anything the site collects.
- Using the tools needs no account and no personal details.
- Visit stats are daily totals only: no cookies, no IP addresses, no names.
- I only hold your details if you give them to me: your email for the newsletter, a contact message, or a name on something you submit.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
Visit stats
The site counts page views, clicks on things like Watch on Twitch, the website that sent you here, whether you're on mobile or desktop, and how many people are on the site each minute. These are stored as totals per day. I can't tell who you are from them, and no cookie is set.
The weekly email
If you sign up, I store your email address and that you agreed to the emails. It's sent with Resend, which stores your address on my behalf. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails straight away.
Legal basis: your consent.
Suggestions and contact messages
When you use the Suggestions box or the contact form on Work with me, I store your message and, if you give them, your name and email. A copy is posted to a private Discord channel so I see it quickly. I only use your email to reply.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in answering you. Messages are deleted within 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Art wall and community palettes
When you submit pixel art or a block palette, I store it with the name and title you choose. You don't have to use your real name. Nothing is public until I approve it.
To stop spam and double votes, your IP address is scrambled into a short code that can't be turned back into the address. The real IP address is never stored.
Signing in with Google
Accounts are coming to the site. If you sign in with Google, I only ask Google for an anonymous account ID. I don't receive or store your email, name or Google profile. Your account holds the username and nickname you choose, and the things you save. You can delete your account from your profile at any time, which erases all of it.
Legal basis: providing the account you asked for. Google's own use of your data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Minecraft skins and usernames
When you look up a player or load a skin, the username is sent to Mojang's public API to fetch it. Results are briefly cached to keep the site fast. Usernames and skins are already public.
Saved in your browser
Projects, settings and tool progress are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on my server. Clearing your browser data deletes them. I can't see them.
Other companies involved
- Netlify hosts the site and its data.
- Resend sends the weekly email.
- Discord receives copies of suggestions and contact messages.
- Google Fonts serves the site's font, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Twitch and YouTube players load from their own sites when you play a stream or video, and they may set their own cookies.
- Mojang provides skins and player lookups.
Some of these companies store data outside the UK. They use the legal safeguards UK law requires for that.
Children
Lots of Minecraft players are young. You can use every tool without giving any details. If you're under 13, ask a parent or carer before signing up for emails or sending a contact message with your email address.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop me using it. Use the contact form on Work with me and I'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date below. Last updated: 16 October 2026.
