Minecraft Player Lookup

Enter a Java username or UUID to get the player's UUID, current skin and cape.

Type a Minecraft Java username or UUID to get the player's UUID (with and without dashes), see their current skin and cape, and download the skin. If nobody has the name, it tells you, so you can use it as a quick name checker too.

FAQ

How do I find a Minecraft player's UUID?

Type their username into the lookup. You get the UUID in both formats: with dashes for most tools, and without dashes for some commands and plugins.

Can I check if a Minecraft name is available?

Yes. If no Java account uses the name, the lookup says so. Mojang also blocks some names and holds recently changed ones for a while, so confirm in the Minecraft Launcher before relying on it.

Can I see a player's old usernames and skins?

Mojang removed name history from its public API in 2022 and never shared old skins. This tool saves a player's name, skin and cape each time they're looked up here, so their history builds up from the first lookup onwards.

Does it work for Bedrock players?

No. It uses Mojang's Java Edition API, so it only finds Java accounts.
