Breeze Guide

Arrows bounce off it. Get in close.

A breeze rod surrounded by a wind charge, a mace, a trial key and a diamond sword on tuff bricks
Quick answer
  • Breezes only spawn from trial spawners in trial chambers.
  • They deflect almost every projectile, so use melee.
  • They drop 1 to 2 Breeze rod items, the only source in the game.

Breezes jump around trial chambers firing wind charges. They're tricky at first, but easy once you know the rules.

Fighting one

  • Arrows, tridents and most projectiles bounce off. Use a sword or axe.
  • Their Wind charge shots knock you back. Fight away from ledges and lava.
  • They take no fall damage, so you can't knock them off things.

Low ceilingsFight breezes in a low room or corridor so they can't jump around as much.

Breeze rods

Each breeze drops 1 to 2 rods when you or your wolf kill it. Looting gets you more.

  • 1 rod + a heavy core = a Mace.
