When an ender pearl lands, there's a 5% chance an endermite appears where it landed.

An endermite despawns after about 2 minutes. Use a 
Name tag on one to keep it forever.
Enderman farms
- Name tag an endermite and trap it in a Minecart or a small hole.
- Endermen nearby see it and come to attack it.
- Lead them into your kill area.
