Keeping them away
Hoglins avoid three things:
- Warped fungus
- Nether portals
- Respawn anchors
Safe basePlace warped fungus around your Nether base and hoglins won't come near it.
Food
Kill a hoglin for 2 to 4 raw porkchops and up to 2 leather. If it dies while on fire, the porkchops come out cooked.

Breeding
Feed Crimson fungus to two hoglins to breed them. A small pen in a crimson forest makes a simple food farm.
Fighting them
Hoglins charge and knock you upwards. Fight with a shield and stay away from ledges and lava.
