- A full set of diamond or netherite gives 20 armour points, the max.
- Each armour point blocks about 4% of damage, up to 80%.
- Netherite adds more toughness and knockback resistance.
Armour is the biggest thing keeping you alive. Here's how much each set protects you.

| Set | Armour points | Toughness |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | 0 | |
| 11 | 0 | |

Toughness
Armour points do less against very big hits. Toughness fixes that, so diamond and netherite hold up better against things like the Warden or a charged creeper.
+2toughness per diamond piece
+3toughness per netherite piece
Why netherite
- Same armour points as diamond, but more toughness.
- Each piece adds knockback resistance, so you get pushed around less.
- Netherite items don't burn in lava or fire.
Make it stronger
Add Protection to every piece for the biggest boost, and Mending and Unbreaking so it lasts. Armour does nothing against starving or falling, so add Feather Falling to your boots.
