- Craft a
Conduit from a
Heart of the sea and 8
Nautilus shell items. - Place it underwater inside a frame of 16 to 42 prismarine or sea lantern blocks.
- It gives Conduit Power: breathing, night vision and faster mining underwater.
A conduit turns an ocean base into somewhere you can actually work. Here's how to build one.
Getting the parts
Heart of the sea: found in buried treasure chests. Treasure maps from shipwrecks and ocean ruins lead you there.
Nautilus shells: from fishing, wandering traders and drowned holding them.
Building the frame
- Make a 3×3×3 space of water. The conduit goes in the very middle.
- Build rings of
Prismarine, prismarine bricks, dark prismarine or
Sea lantern blocks around it. - You need at least 16 frame blocks to turn it on.
Full blocks onlySlabs, stairs and walls don't count towards the frame.
Range
More frame blocks means more range. Every 7 blocks adds 16 blocks of range.
| Frame blocks | Range |
|---|---|
| 16 | 32 blocks |
| 21 | 48 blocks |
| 28 | 64 blocks |
| 35 | 80 blocks |
| 42 | 96 blocks |
Build the full 42A complete frame also attacks hostile mobs within 8 blocks that are in water or rain, for 2 hearts every 2 seconds.
Conduit Power only works on players touching water or rain inside the range.
