- Craft a target block from 4 redstone dust and 1 hay bale.
- Hit it with a projectile and it gives a redstone signal.
- The closer to the centre, the stronger the signal, up to 15.
Target blocks turn arrows into redstone. Use them for secret doors, games and archery ranges.
Crafting
Put a Hay bale in the middle and redstone dust on the 4 sides.
How it works
| Projectile | Signal lasts |
|---|---|
| 1 second | |
| Snowballs, eggs and others | 0.4 seconds |
A perfect bullseye gives 15. Edge hits give much less.
Wiring it
Target blocks send power into redstone dust next to them, even dust that's pointing a different way. That makes them easy to wire.
Archery gameWire a target to a redstone lamp or a note block so it lights up or plays a sound on a hit.
