- Trial chambers are underground, mostly between Y -40 and 0.
- Beat the
trial spawners to get
Trial key items, then use them on vaults. - Drink an
Ominous bottle first for harder fights and the chance of a heavy core.
Trial chambers are copper and tuff dungeons full of mob spawners. They're the only place to get breeze rods and the mace.
How to find one
- Buy a trial chambers map from a journeyman cartographer villager for 12 emeralds and a compass.
- Or explore caves: the entrance room sits around Y -40 to -20, and most rooms are between Y -20 and 0.
Look for copper blocks and tuff bricks in cave walls. Save the spot as soon as you find it.
Spawners and vaults
- Walk near a trial spawner. It releases waves of mobs based on how many players are nearby.
- Kill every mob. The spawner drops loot, often including a trial key.
- Use the key on a vault to get a reward. Each vault only rewards each player once.
BreezesBreezes only spawn here. They drop
Breeze rod items, which you craft into wind charges and the mace.
Ominous trials
Drink an
Ominous bottle to get Bad Omen, then enter the chambers. It turns into Trial Omen and makes every spawner harder.
Ominous spawners drop an
Ominous trial key, which opens the ominous vaults. These are the only source of the
Heavy core, at a 7.5% chance.
Bring blocksOminous waves are much harder. Bring food, a shield and blocks to wall off mobs.
