Zombie villages

About 2% of villages are abandoned. The villagers are all zombie villagers, and iron golems don't spawn. Cure the zombie villagers for cheap trades.

What to grab

  • Chests in houses like the weaponsmith, toolsmith and armourer.
  • Hay bale blocks for breeding horses and llamas.
  • Crops from the farms.
  • Beds, if you need to sleep on your first night.
Don't take every bedVillagers need beds to breed. Take one or two, not all of them.

Protecting it

Villages spawn iron golems and have cats, about one cat for every four beds. If you get Bad Omen and walk into a village, a raid starts there.
