The wandering trader is a travelling merchant. Its trades are random, but sometimes it has things you can't easily get elsewhere.

When it appears

The game tries to spawn one every so often near a player or a village bell. It despawns after about 40 minutes on Java.

What it sells

• Saplings, flowers and seeds from other biomes.
• Coral blocks, sand and Blue ice.
• Pointed dripstone and dyes.

Its stock is random, and it doesn't level up like villagers.

Potions and milk

At night it drinks a potion of Invisibility to hide from mobs. At dawn it drinks milk to become visible again.

Trader llamas

The two llamas are leashed to the trader. Kill the trader and the leads drop, so you get a free Lead for each llama. Trader llamas spit at mobs that attack the trader.
