Geodes are big round crystal caves. They look amazing, and they're a renewable source of amethyst.
Spotting a geode
Geodes have three layers:
Smooth basalt outside, then
Calcite, then amethyst inside. If you see smooth basalt in a cave wall, dig in.
How crystals grow
- Small bud
- Medium bud
- Large bud
- Amethyst cluster, fully grown
Only full clusters drop shards, so leave buds to grow.
Don't break budding amethystBudding amethyst can't be picked up, even with Silk Touch. Break it and it's gone forever.
